Zealous advocacy, plainly explained.
Family law, criminal defense, civil litigation and mediation for the Tri-Valley (Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin and San Ramon) since 1984.

Overview
One experienced attorney for all of your matters.
When you have only one legal matter it can often be overwhelming and life changing. It is, however, not unusual for people to have more than one legal matter at the same time. For example, when divorce, domestic violence, and criminal matters arise at the same time or when an alleged criminal act also produces a civil lawsuit. When such occurs, it is more legally efficient and cost-effective for you to have one experienced attorney represent you in all the matters.

Attorney fees
“As Abraham Lincoln set forth, time is what a lawyer sells.”
Do not merely call a law office and ask: “How much do you charge?” Go meet with the lawyer and find out the lawyer’s billing practices.
Hourly Fees
I do not charge for periodically reviewing a client’s files. I charge travel time, but not mileage.
Contingency Fees
An attorney gets paid a percentage of a recovery. If there is no recovery, then there is no fee payment.
Flat Rate Fees
A guarantee that the fee for certain legal work will be limited to a certain fee amount.
When Others Pay Your Fees
There are many laws whereby the opposing side must pay your attorney’s fees.
Retainer Agreements
A retainer agreement sets forth the scope of what the lawyer will do and to what extent the client will pay.
